Evaporator Energy Efficiency Project
Heavy road transportation records were set by Nickel Bros Industrial during the heavy transport of twenty-three individual project cargo pieces (L: 180’ W: 23’ H’ 23’ Wt: 260 Ton), shipped from Thailand and China and transported by road from Lewiston, Idaho to Grand Prairie, Alberta.
The (23) pieces were the final addition to a $122 million clean energy upgrade. This high efficiency evaporator system is able to gather an additional 100,000 pounds of steam per hour. Because of Nickel Bros ability to negotiate with permitting officials, create a route through high-density population centres, and engineer specialized transport systems for the mega loads, the project completed ahead of schedule and on-budget.
