United Engineering Quinsam Shiploader

In 2022, Nickel Bros was trusted by United Engineering to plan and execute the delivery of a shiploader from Campbell River, BC to Saltery Bay, BC. Our engineering teams created a transport solution that was mindful of the multiple jurisdictions and final installation requirements. After engineering and preparation of a custom transporter was completed, Nickel Bros mobilized the 460,000 lbs / 230 T shiploader via jack-and-slide onto the transporter, and set up ramps for the ro-ro barging phase. After lashing and securing the cargo to ensure its safety, as well as that of the crew, it was towed down to the destination site, rolled off and positioned onto its pad.
