Some of the historic buildings we’ve lifted and transported have been as old as 200 years—everything from Victorian or craftsman masterpieces, an old balloon-framed barn, a stone or brick castle, to small, yet treasured neighborhood bungalows. We give extra care to these notable buildings and we can offer additional insurance to cover historically-valuable structures.
If your organization or agency needs to relocate or lift historic or protected structures (including historic buildings in a downtown core, large historic military buildings or warehouses, older commercial buildings, homes formerly owned by city founders or historical figures), we can help. In addition to our structural moving services, we offer consulting in engineering and logistics. There is no structure that’s too large, too old, or too valuable for us to move.
We regularly assist architects and engineers in evaluating a building’s move feasibility (including assisting in documenting the building’s structural characteristics and historic authenticity), route planning, and other consulting services.
